What’s Organization Settings
Organization settings are the key parameters defining your account's overal hierarchy and structure. It’s recommended that you start setting up your account by going through the Organization Settings and making that work best for your business.
Open Organization Settings
Log in to Marcom Robot and click the “Setup” icon in the bottom left-hand corner. A Setup menu will appear. Then choose "Organization Settings."
Key Parameters and How to Use Them
- Create Account for New Contacts—If this box is checked, the system will automatically create new accounts or assign contacts to existing accounts based on the contacts' email domain (free email service providers are excluded, e.g., gmail.com). For example, a new account, “ACME,” will automatically be created for a new contact with the email address [email protected].
- Enable Leads—if this box is checked, you will have two objects where you can store information about the individuals you market and sell to: leads and contacts. Think of leads as your top-of-funnel prospects and contacts as your best-qualified leads and/or customers. Pro Tip: If you are a small or medium-sized business, or your sales organization doesn’t have a business development function, it’s recommended to uncheck this box and keep your account hierarchy flat: contacts ←→ accounts.
- Enable Marketing for Leads—if you checked the “Enable Leads” box, you’ll need to decide whether or not you want your leads to be part of your marketing campaigns. Pro Tip: If your sales team uses leads for an outbound motion and doesn’t want marketing to touch them, keeping the box unchecked is better.
- Enable Lead Enrichment—if this box is checked, Marcom Robot will automatically add company-level information to your leads (if the “Enable Leads” check box is checked). The company-level information includes the company name, number of employees, industry, HQ address, corporate social media profiles, and much more.
- Enable Contact and Account Enrichment—if this box is checked, Marcom Robot will automatically add company-level information to your contacts and accounts. The company-level information includes the company name, number of employees, industry, HQ address, corporate social media profiles, and much more.
- Track Email Link Clicks—If this box is checked, the system will track and report when your email recipients click links in emails you send them via Marcom Robot. Pro Tip: It is recommended that this checkbox is checked.
